Storage conditions | Stored below -18 °C and unopened, the control materials are stable until the expiry date specified on the labels. The zip-closure storage bag contains the control material, desiccant packets, and a humidity indicator card. Each time you open the storage bag, check the condition of the enclosed humidity card. If the humidity card changes its colour from blue to pink at the 50 % level, recharge desiccant packets by heating at 60 °C for 4 hours in a drying oven. Be careful when removing control material from storage bag below –18 °C. Please incubate these bags at ambient temperature before opening. A temperature recording strip is fixed at the zip-closure storage bag. A permanent colour change from white to black indicates that the corresponding temperature on the indicator has been reached. Avoid higher temperatures even over a short period and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Opened controls, dry as well as tightly sealed, and stored below -18 °C are stable until the expiry date specified on the labels. |
