These lyophilised quality controls from Chromsystems are based on human plasma and should be used according to the instruction manual. They are designed to monitor the accuracy and precision of analytical procedures in clinical diagnostics for the quantitative determination of endocrine hormones and their metabolites in plasma. Further values are related to parameters for neurochemical analyses. While following the instructions the controls should be handled and measured in the same manner as a patient specimen.

Storage conditions | Stored at +2 to +8 °C and unopened, the lyophilised controls are stable until the expiry date specified on the vial labels. The reconstituted controls can be stored up to 2 days light protected and tightly capped at +2 to +8 C. The reconstituted controls have the same stability as a fresh plasma specimen. Since the different parameters of these plasma controls have different stability characteristics in solution, the specific storage conditions for the individual parameters should also be selected for the controls. If the controls cannot be used within this period, they should be aliquoted and stored frozen below -18 °C (up to 2 months).
